๐Ÿ‘ถ๐Ÿ‘ง๐Ÿ‘ฆ What age groups does Polylog Academy cater to?

Polylog Academy serves students from Grades 4โ€“12, meeting learners where they are and helping them grow with age-appropriate challenges.

๐Ÿงฉ Are there any prerequisites for enrolling in the Python course?

No strict prerequisites. Prior experience helps, but our programs welcome beginners through advanced learners with scaffolding and stretch goals for every level.

๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿซ What are the qualifications of the instructors?

Your lead instructor is a seasoned Silicon Valley professional with 12+ years in the Valley and 25+ years in Computer Scienceโ€”an experienced teacher and mentor who brings industry best practices into the classroom.

๐Ÿซ What is your model of teaching?

We use a hybrid, inverted (flipped) classroom with our constructivist, project-based approach: learners Use โ†’ Modify โ†’ Create, then present an Oral Defense to cement understanding.

๐Ÿ† What are Capstone projects and how do they help?

Capstones are real-world, portfolio-ready builds where students apply skills end-to-endโ€”planning, coding, testing, documenting, and presenting work that demonstrates genuine readiness.

๐Ÿ› ๏ธ What enterprise tools do students learn?

We prepare students with practical tools used in industry:

  • Git/GitHub โ€” each student gets a repo; collaboration via branches & reviews.
  • VS Code & Jupyter Notebook for daily development.
  • Testing & Quality โ€” PyTest in advanced classes, SonarQube for code insights.
  • Web Backends โ€” Django or Flask, served with Gunicorn (intro level).
  • Data & DB โ€” SQLAlchemy fundamentals and basic database manipulation.
๐ŸŽฅ Do you offer recorded sessions online?

Because we use a flipped model, content is released in a weekly โ€œdripโ€. Each weekโ€™s lesson materials unlock during that week so students stay in sync with the cohort.

๐Ÿ‘ฅ Whatโ€™s the class size?

We keep cohorts intentionally small to maximize personalized feedback and high-quality code reviews.

๐ŸŒฑ Do students need prior coding experience?

No. We scaffold from fundamentals and quickly progress to meaningful projects as confidence grows.

๐Ÿงฐ What tools do you teach?

Python, Git/GitHub, test-driven habits, and practical IDE workflows aligned to real engineering practice.

๐ŸŽ™๏ธ How are students assessed?

Through working code, peer reviews, demos, and a final Oral Defense that strengthens communication.
